Cannot stop timer

I have a 530 that has worked flawlessly for some time.

Recently (since updating to 6.20 ?) I am unable to stop the timer after a ride, which should bring up the post-ride menu. The stop timer button is simply ignored. Starting the timer is no problem and all other buttons work as expected.

During the ride, I use auto-stop, as well as LiveTrack enabled.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Is there another way to stop the timer other than pressing the button ?

I’m reading this looking for an answer to the same problem. I started a Komoot ride but now can’t stop it! There is no menu item for “stop ride” it usually just pops up after I hit the pause button. But at the moment the pause button doesn’t work.

I long-pressed the power button, ignored the emergency prompt, kept holding and it finally powered off. When powered on, the ride flickered up and stopped itself, showing the usual stop menu. No idea how to stop it manually without doing this... couldn't for the life of me find the button/combo/setting...

Oh my god there are two buttons I didn't know existed. Who the **** designed this thing!!?

Hello I just recently moved from a wahoo to Garmin and I completely forgot that the start and stop button is on the bottom right side of the Edge 530. To start and stop your ride. I hope this helps

For any users seeing this issue, are you running the activity through a CIQ App like Komoot or TrailForks, or is this from the natively built-in app or activity profile?

This will be helpful in determining what we may need to gather in order to escalate this.

I've seen this on CIQ Strava folllowing a route from strava.

happened today navigating a ridewithgps route [in the connectIQ app]..had to hard poweroff, turned it on and then it saved the ride. No other way to stop the recording
