Edge 530 Version 6.00 impressions

Hi, my sensors have only ever dropped out during navigation, and then the whole stack goes. Maybe if you can try that :-)

For the lastlast two days I only use navigation... All of the above is with Nav all the time on. I need to get back home to try the other scenarios. 

Have not installed yet but the beta was terrible (freezing, lagging) for my edge I had to go back to 5.50.

Wait? Strava live segments work without issues? I am not buying this ..

Pity the elevation problem hasn't been fixed yet when syncing. That is a pain. I've gone back to adding routes via the Strava Routes app on the 530. That seems to work fine, but I'd prefer a fix. Direct transfer is much easier.

I looked forward to this update nonetheless.

I have used the updated version (6.00) for two rides indoors with ZWIFT, nothing has broken, no sensors have dropped.  If only the 530 could make workouts less difficult!! I did wonder if the device was sweat proof...

While the rollout is phased, I think this is the first time I have seen Garmin provide a link for downloading the update earlier if they want to.

A positive move for the impatient cyclist. 

Can anyone get the shortcut to the display menu working? What is the Auto Brightness button? I have tried holding he top right button on the status screen over the WiFi and Brightness cell and also on the screen after on the Auto Brightness toggle with no success. 

They have been doing this for a a couple months now with the F6 betas and rollouts. It is nice for sure as you have the files just in case. 

They have forgotten to do it for the 945 update, some people are upset :-)
