  • Actually, just found out that Strava haven’t synced anything other than up hill segments for a while now. (I don’t really use them to notice other than this one)

Although my segment is slightly downhill over about 3km, my understanding is that as long as the segment is on the device, it should still work?

  • same here. Seems not to work to well in a forest with trees overhanging....

  • here is todays fitfile. GPS accuracy seems to be terrible, especially with overhanging trees...https://we.tl/t-NQEFPP1G5T

  • So I got the old 5.50 file (as I want to go back) from the last roll out and put it into the garmin folder and still says I am on 5.68?

  • I can't go back either. Installation of the old 5.50 fails. I do get the promp if I want to install 5.50, then the bootloader loads and after that 5.68 starts (instead of installing 5.50 firmware).

  • Same and I was like what is happening as I have a F6X and do the betas all of the time and it is not a problem. I tried the 5.50 file that is in this thread and the roll out file.  Funny that the roll out file and this one for 5.50 are different dates.

I wish I had an older stable firmware so I could try to back date it before 5.50 (looked but not online) that way since it won't go back to 5.50. and keeps looping.  My light network with 5.68 just keeps spinning and disconnects.  GPS is also not stable and for the first time ever on my ride yesterday had a drop out with 5.68 with my speed sensor (full battery).

  • Yeah, this is (one of) the result of the bug what i found months ago in the firmware. Wrong distance values from wrong/duplicated GPS positions and if the user doesnt have speed sensor the speed chart will be so ugly on Strava for example. Btw, You are using smart recording but under the trees (and where somewhy there are duplicated GPS positions) it is recording  with 1 sec recording rate and there is that bug  (that the main code doesnt get GPS position data from GPS chip within 1 sec somewhy and uses the last known position and this duplication makes jaggy speed chart due to the jumping distance values in distance data field ).

  • Thanks for looking into this. Was this bug already reported? (i guess it was ;-) I guess this bug wasn't solved in the 4.5 gps firmware

I have now switched to 1 sec recording...

  • Is it a faulty unit or do all edge 530 have this problem. This bug makes it a worthless system...
