Strava - GC wrong elevation data after sync

Hey,

the problem is that once the Course is synced from Strava over to GC the elevation profile still looks nice. Elevation is ok when I look at the course in GC.

But when I sync  from GC to edge530 the elevation is completely off. The elevation gain is +100%!!! The gradient profile is also wrong and some climbs are 40% gradient... and all this elevation mess makes ClimbPro useles...

What to do?

  • Wow nice. Just tried to make a new route on a road I know what the erroneous profile looked like and it's fine now! Looks like they fixed it.

Interesting thanks, I can confirm that bypassing the GC app on the phone works. I just synced through wifi with my home network and elevation is good! A bit of a haste, but works!

    thanks a lot

  • I synced a Strava route today and finally Total  elevation looks fine, also Listed climbs look realistic, no more jagged profiles or  climbs averaging over 30%

I'm having a similar kind of problem:

When a make a course on GC it says for instance the course has 1.400 height meters. When i ride the course with Edge530, it says it only had about 1.050 height meters.

Of course i know it's not 100% accurate, but this diffirence is way to much right? U guys have similar problems?
