Strava - GC wrong elevation data after sync

Hey,

the problem is that once the Course is synced from Strava over to GC the elevation profile still looks nice. Elevation is ok when I look at the course in GC.

But when I sync from GC to edge530 the elevation is completely off. The elevation gain is +100%!!! The gradient profile is also wrong and some climbs are 40% gradient... and all this elevation mess makes ClimbPro useles...

What to do?

I have the same problem with my 830. I think it is a bug in garmin connect service.

A workaround for climbpro: download the route in tcx/gpx from strava, then connect your edge to a pc an copy the file in the garmin/newfiles folder. after startup the edge, the route is there with the correct elevation profile. i hope garmin will fix this issue quickly.

I am having this issue as well and would love some guidance on if Garmin is aware of this and working on a fix.

Any update here? The beta did not fix things and Strava routes aren’t even coming over consistently.

I would love an update on this. Currently the elevation is completely unusable when planning a course via strava. When it syncs the elevation values become extreme!! Is there a fix in the works?

Same problem. Also if you use the workaround, live segments from Strava don't work during navigation.

I think with the new FW it should be working....Can someone confirm? I just sync a course and it looks fine on may Edge...

Do you mean 6.20? I tested it right after updating and it was the same for me. Still a jagged profile with 100 % + of elevation gain.

I have just ridden a strava track and the elevation is 100% correct.

I did everything on my computer. I didnt tuch my phone!

Try to stare a course on the computer and than sync with your Edge connected to home network...Dont sync with your phone....
