Garmin edge 530 - black screen

The best option will be if you will have garmin edge with 130 display quality in 530 size...

I shot you a link in the other thread you were involved in, but I'll add it here just for visibility. This link has the settings for backlight brightness and timeout on the 530.

Yes I know all configuration . I study manuals very carefully..

You know what I also dont understand...widget behavior. In manual I see:

1 From the status page, select Widgets.
2 Select or to view more widgets.
The next time you view the widgets, the last widget you viewed appears.

I don't understand this

I try but how and when this works?

Between riding I push back button,  left up..in widgets screen...left down to temperature or weather widget..etc...

But nex time I must repeat all this process to view weather widget.

How long do you have to wait before releasing lap/start buttons my screen is blank so I cannot see any logos? 

This is a known defect for which Garmin has redesigned the Edge 530. The newer units don't have this problem. Garmin will replace your older unit if you contact their support group and describe the problem to them.

Yeah got mine replaced eventually... I had to make some extra calls when they said the refurbished units were out of stock but after that they magically sent one right away

Did they offer you a refurbished unit? They can sometimes be cheaper

It was cheaper than retail, however.. if it's a known issue, they should have contacted the customers and let them know.. or replace them period... It's good customer support.
