Garmin edge 530 - black screen

Hello,

I have last firmware on Garmin Edge 530, yesterday i ride and it works - altought during activity Garmin vas power off and automatic power on - i record full acitvity. But today, when i try to power on, black screen, if i connect with cable on my PC, Garmin Express recognize it. But still black screen - i surf on internet, i try almost everything i find on it (push for long time power button).

Is there a way to totally reset / factory reset without through Garmin menu?

You can do a total reset at power on by doing the following.

As you have no display just hold both buttons down for about 5 seconds after teh power on.

Non-prompted Non-Vol Clear - Clears NV and deletes all FIT files including Activities, Courses, Workouts.

Turn device off
Hold Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
Press and release the power button
Continue to hold only Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
Release Lap/Reset and Start/Stop when the Garmin Logo is cleared
The unit will restart and clear non-vol

Thanks. I did as suggested and the display is still blank. No amount of button holding or clearing files seems to work.

boyan64 is your screen completely blank or just too dark? One of these may require an update/reset or replacement, and the other may be resolved with troubleshooting or with a change of settings.

Hello it is too dark or to dimm, that I can't see numbers when sun is behind me and I wear sunglasses
