Can I transfer my saved locations from my old Edge Explore 820 to a new Edge 530?

Locations should be transferable. Just copy the locations,fit file from the 820 to the NewFiles folder on the 530.

Or you can use something like BaseCamp.

What about transfering locations from Fenix 3 to Edge 530? Doable or will it damage the system?

Should be OK the location format is the same.

It didn't work moving mine from the 520 to the 530. I had to re-do all of them.

You moved them by copying the locations.fit file from the 520 the Garmin\NewFiles on the 530?

I was wondering about, I still have a backup of my Edge510 Locations, I will try that after backing up my edge530 files, the activity file format for the edge530 has changed/updated as an windows exe Application that I use to extract data into a CSV does not work anymore.

I just tried and copied the locations.fit, the file did not have my old locations and subsequently I tried to add location, was able to add a location and name it, when I changed the elevation it kept on showing 46m yet I entered 33, then tried again to change the elevation and it had 00033, I exit, and it still shows 46m I dont see a save button, using back button

thanks I suspected something to that, I recently got aeropod to measure CDA, there is a CIQ for it (I have to copy the file into certain directory, I am assuming that eventually some of that data will be stored as you suggest
