I am considering a Edge 530 because I really don´t want the touch screen of the 830. However, I am interested in the navigation capabilities of the 530, so I am asking here as it will not be easy to get a unit to play with a few days so easily...
So, here is what I am looking for:
- As far as I know, activity tracking and navigation run separately, so I can stop navigation and restart it as many times as I want without messing with the recorded activity data. Is that correct?
- I am looking for a way to change navigation during an activity. Let´s say I am planning a long tour after work, but something happens and I have to stay at work for one more hour. I will not have the time to adjust my route at the pc. If I was planning a route liek A->B->C->D->E being C a waypont quite far away with a much shorter B->D route, I would just like to be able to tell the navi to skip some waypoints in the current plan and send me to the next Waypoint. Is that possible with the 530?
- I assume I can stop the navi and then manually ask to navigate to other points. However, as I cannot enter an address, can I at least look for a waypoint on the phone (Google Maps?) and send it easily to the Edge so it can navigate to it?
