Garmin 530 freezing

My new Garmin 530 has totally frozen  No response from the power button or any others.  I their a reset button or combination of buttons that will restart the device?

    Same issues when first came out. Multiple replacements. Never resolved. Send it back. Worthless product. 

  • Similar story here. My 530 freezes almost each ride. I think it's correlated with charging it before. Works OK but then freezes mid ride. To make things stranger, after the reset it takes ~10 minutes until the GPS is eventually acquired. Regret replacing my Wahoo with Edge. Neverending problems...

    Same here. Never had a ride where something didn’t go wrong. Back to Wahoo ELEMNT. No problems. 
    got 530 for specific MTB features that never worked along with freezing,etc.

    This started happening to me as well.  This is my second 530 (tried it before back in Fall 2019) and I've only had it 1 week and I've had two crashes (one before a ride and again today during a ride).

    I thought having an extra 6 months of firmware fixes would have helped but I guess not.

    Same. Just bought it last week.  First ride no problem. 2nd time out it froze mid ride while following an uploaded route. I have the most recent firmware (5.10).

    I’ve had same issue. Returned one a couple of months ago as it was freezing after about 10 rides, went through another supplier and exactly same issue after about 10 rides. I’m going to return this one too and go to wahoo

    Just used my new Edge 530 for the first time and it froze midway through the first ride. Contacted support and they suggested a factory reset. On a BRAND NEW UNIT! Asked them to investigate my ride log and explain the fault but they refused. Was really looking forward to this which replaced my 15 year old Cateye unit. What a let down. I guess I'll need to return and look at a Wahoo.

    530 sux. Had exact same issues. Sent back x2. Numerous updates no resolution. Had issues every ride. Trails wrong names, tracking, foresight never worked, Strava segments always work. Get ELEMNT-no issues EVER.
