Garmin 530 freezing

Thank you for that, fixed my frozen 530.  Why can't Garmin include that tip in their troubleshooting page? They say hold power for 10 seconds, which did not work for me, and then offer menu-based reset options, which obviously don't work if you cannot access the menus.

Same here. I've been using this less than 2 months and it's crashed twice, both times when I'm starting a ride and trying to turn it on. The second time (today) I had to hold it down for much longer than 10 seconds. This shouldn't be happening.

I haven't used my 530 since OCT, Its just been mounted on my bike (using Zwift indoors) thanks to snow, had it off twice to charge second time being last night to get ready for a trip this week...nothing totally blank, best I can get is a grey screen tried all the recommended restart hacks I can find not happy...any suggestions??? Thanks

Hi, I've got a similar problem. When i charge my 530, it seems to be frozen when i come to use it. I'm assuming that it switches off once charged, but i have to go through a routine of holding operate button for many seconds (10+) before something happens, like a bleep. Then still dead, but if i repeat the 'hold operate' button eventually it comes to life. Seems very unsatisfactory. I will check for update too, but it's not old.  Any ideas? Many thanks.

Plug in device to power and wait.  Battery might be drained

It happened to me twice. First time was before a ride. Second time was during a ride, resulting in an incomplete ride record..
