Battery drain when off

My garmin Edge 530 is losing approx 1.5% per day when off. I use the power off button and it is not in sleep mode while doing this. One time it lost over 10% in 30 minutes. The strange thing is it drains faster when off and when I'm choosing the option vs when I'm using it as a GPS on the bike the battery drain is reasonable. Anyone know how to solve or experience anything similar?

I get it for an older device, maybe but for a brand new device sorry I don’t get it. Maybe Garmin should also include on package fridge not included.

You shouldn't have to do that fora brand new device. Many people are experiencing the battery drain while off problem. What is Garmins solution to this?

Did you end up returning? I"m on my 3rd unit, first one had bad button issue, 2nd one battery drain. Hoping this one works well.

I did return it and have not replaced it yet. You are far more persistent than me. Given the poor quality and the results of watch, not sure i will go back to an onboard computer. I think i have learned I really dont need it, the watch, gives me all i need.

Same here. I turned it off charged to about 80% and next day is discharged. This is not every time and look like sometimes it's really off but sometimes it's working some way... :/

Same issue here. It's winter here, I didn't use it and it seem to lose up to 2-4% a day while being off.
Last week, the battery was completely empty after not using it for around 3 weeks!
I didn't see this trend during the summer. Could this be an issue with the latest firmware?

I have the same issue with my edge 830 that is 2 months old. Battery drops when switched off completely with about 20% per day. This is not acceptable and need to be fixed. What is Garmin itself is saying about this problem?

Mine is good - and i dont connect to any sensor. I do keep it in the fridge though.....
