MTB Profile, issues with "jumps"

I seem to have an issue with my Garmin edge 530, where it registers jumps when riding flats. thankfully the 3.55 beta version had an option to disable the alert for this.

As can seen here, i was riding a flat surface, and it registered 10 jumps in quick succession.

To a total of 20 jumps on this ride, while in reality i should have made about 7-9.

Has anyone else had any issues with this?

I've found this feature to totally bogus, and despised it to the point of considering returning my unit before the new firmware provided an option to disable the notifications. It would beep and cover my screen with "NICE JUMP!" constantly, even riding on totally flat terrain as you are experiencing.

Mine works as expected and only alerts on real jumps; however, the "NICE JUMP!!" does get monotonous quick. It also seems the distance is exaggerated (assuming the distance includes everything from the start of the jump and not just the actual hang time distance)?. Would be nice to have some variation in the message depending on the distance of the jump. Maybe your mount is lose and moving with the unit making the Edge think your jumping?

strange mine doesn't register my jumps at all: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-530/220336/jumps-are-not-recorded. Not even with the latest FW5.50?! And yes this function is switched on in the MTB profile. Any ideas?

I have the same problem - on FW5.5 jumps are not recorded.
