Edge 530 freezing/crashing on course mode

Hi all.

Today I've tried for the first time the "following a course" mode on my edge 530.

Once the course started, I could not switch between screens, it freezed on a map screen with two data fields (distance to next point and time to the next point).

The distance to the next point was always close to 35m, the device "crashed" after getting to this point.

If I clicked enter button, it shown my other data screens just for a second and then it went back to the map screen described above.

I forced a shut down holding power button for 10s, after that, navigation and data screens worked just fine, however the problem happened again after a couple minutes.

Restarted the device again and turned following a course mode off.

The unit worked as expected for the rest of the ride but I couldn't use the features I wanted (climb pro and turn by turn navigation)

Did anybody experience something similar or have a suggestion?

What software build are you on?

Yesterday the issue happened on 3.50.

Today I tried another course but on 3.55.

Exactly the same issue.

Everything was working fine (navigation to the start of the course and data screens) until the course begun.

Is there an err_log.txt in the Garmin\Debugging folder?

All the entries in the logs that were posted were for build 3.50 and not 3.55.

If you are able to catch a crash where the log shows a system_version of 3.55 could you post it?

aweatherall, today I recorded another ride and the problem happened again, although a log error has not been created.

My edge 530 froze while navigating a long course- probably 90% of the way through. Powered off/on and it was able to resume. Only issue was that training status/effect/recovery time were off- almost like they only took into account the last 10% of the ride after I resumed. Attaching logs from 3.55 if that helps:
