Remap Buttons

Is there any way at all to remap which button does what? I'd like to swap the Enter and Back buttons  - I'm guessing not, but can't hurt to ask, right? Slight smile

I generally use the Garmin on the bike in sort of a left handed pinch grip with thumb and forefinger and it just seems really awkward to keep moving the thumb to the top of the device to get to the next screen when using the selection buttons at the same time.

  • @leginswal not saying nobody uses it, but I think it should give option of reprograming as extra button would be great and most people don't seem to us lap button as intended

  • If you go into "Navigation" on the menu page and go into "Saved Locations", there will be an option to save the position your stood with your Garmin. Then when you name it, call it 001, then it will usually be the top of the list when you want it, but, the list sorts itself to the closest saved location your near, but close to home, it will always be the top one.

You can also do it from the map page, by placing a "pin" on the spot you want to save.

I find it easier to just stand at the corner of my house and just save my location and also find out what the elevation for that spot is as well. Then when you start a ride from that spot, upon pressing "Start", the Garmin will calibrate itself to that elevation, a message will appear on the screen to state it is doing it. This stops elevation errors.

  • +1 to remapping, plus remaping lap button as i hardly know anyone using it and can think of many better uses such as toggling auto scroll
