[Ver 13.13]Are you ever going to fix this?

It has been over 14 days since my Garmin 1050 turned into an expensive brick. When are you going to fix this issue? Does Garmin even have the intention to resolve it? Shouldn't you at least provide a basic announcement or update? Or do you expect us to just keep using it as a brick?

  • First, I want to acknowledge the frustration you have as this is completely valid and something we always work to avoid. We of course do not release updates to introduce issues, and do so to resolve past issues as well as introduce new features. 

    While the freezing/crashing/rebooting reported from members of this forum with SW 13.13 are very disruptive, they are not impacting the majority of users with this software installed. I don't mention this to discount the frustrations felt by impacted users, only to highlight that this makes tracking down root causes and fixes more difficult. 

    The number of users who agreed to help provide feedback in our Sticky Thread requesting this has been a tremendous help, and we currently believe we have the cause identified and are working on a fix to provide to impacted users. This update was only available this morning. 

    We thank you and everyone else impacted by this for the patience as we have been looking into this. I am going to lock this thread and update our Sticky Thread as well, and this is only to reduce the overall number of threads where we need to post updates.
