Came from a 1030 Plus where the Varia alerts were clearly audible even at speed and things like the gear limit indicators were also nice and crisp. The 1050 when I am actually going 20+mph you can barely hear the Varia 515 alerts over the wind noise even with the volume settings at their maximum level. The bell function is clearly audible at the same speed so I know the speaker can get louder but there does not seem to be a way to make the other tones usable
I've seen some other complaints about this online but nothing widespread so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong? This has me missing my 1030 Plus and feeling a bit angry at Garmin for thinking this is OK for a $700USD product, if it really is just their bad design.
