I have a new 1050 and there is a gap on the left frame. It is as if the frame does not fit the screen.

I have read in another Spanish forum than almost all the 1050 have the same problem.

Is this normal?

So, yes it is Garmin‘s normality!

Mine also arrived with the flaw on the left side of the frame. I had to return it. I'm waiting for Garmin to come up with a solution so I can buy it. It's unbelievable with a product of this price....

I am waiting for Garmin Iberia. I contacted them to inform them of the defect in the frame of my device and they told me that they were waiting to receive instructions from Garmin. It's been more than a month and they show no signs. Garmin, you can't ignore the problem with these first units, we need a solution.

Yes, mine also. I sent a photo of the defect to Garmin Australia, and their response was to say that it didn't affect the waterproofing, and they sent me a silicone case for the 1050 to cover up the defect...

Garmin Polska changes such devices to Newly Overhauled Devices, which solves the problem. It's just a shame that the waiting time for such a device is 10-15 days
