Manufacturing problem

I have a new 1050 and there is a gap on the left frame. It is as if the frame does not fit the screen.

I have read in another Spanish forum than almost all the 1050 have the same problem. 

Is this normal?

  • Mine also arrived with the flaw on the left side of the frame. I had to return it. I'm waiting for Garmin to come up with a solution so I can buy it. It's unbelievable with a product of this price....

  • I am waiting for Garmin Iberia. I contacted them to inform them of the defect in the frame of my device and they told me that they were waiting to receive instructions from Garmin. It's been more than a month and they show no signs. Garmin, you can't ignore the problem with these first units, we need a solution.

  • Yes, mine also. I sent a photo of the defect to Garmin Australia, and their response was to say that it didn't affect the waterproofing, and they sent me a silicone case for the 1050 to cover up the defect...

    Garmin Polska changes such devices to Newly Overhauled Devices, which solves the problem. It's just a shame that the waiting time for such a device is 10-15 days

    I just received a new device from a warranty replacement and I can tell you that all Edge 1050s starting with a 010 series have this gap between the glass and the housing. In the new device this gap is a bit smaller than in the old one but it is still there. Always on the left side.

  • Garmin France wants to exchange my 011 series device which also has the screen gap for a 010 device, so I'm going to refuse this exchange!

    What is the series of your new device ?

    010. that's why I'm talking about it. so it looks like it's not just the 010 series that has this problem.

  • I have the 010 series - and the frame in my device is even and well-fitted.

    • I can't find on the garmin support site the confirmation of the 011 series of my edge 1050.

    Where to find part number ? I see only serial number.
