The new mount does not fit the mount on my Trek Madone or my Trek Emonda. I was using the K-Edge mount and the new position of the computer's mount make is impossible.

The exact bike I used to show that in my 1050 video. (Madone 8 though.... nice bike!)
More to do with mechanical vibration and the center of gravity.
The change of mount position makes this a hard pass for me, I have a 1040 and a load of proprietary out-front mounts, the cost of replacing all the mounts (when/if they become available) would be more…
Thanks is it a single screw or double screw
Got to say having upgraded from Garmin Edge1040 solar to Edge 1050 it was a shock that I needed to change my K-Edge Gen 6 stem, tried the K-Edge Gen 7 stem and found it was no change from to the Gen 6 so found it all disappointing. Then I found FramesandGear on the website and guess what the stem fitted easily and worked fine. The only down point side was my Edge 1050 was positioned below the bars had a slight tilt downwards. in the main you could the bulk of the 1050 screen Ok but I found it hard to read any messages that appeared. Then out the blue K-EDGE introduced the Gen 8 Madone stem designed to take the Edge 1050. so worth a try me thinks. SO the K-Edge Gen 8 arrives and it is slightly embarrassing that the mount plate has a steep curl on it meaning the supplied bolt does not fit snugly and the bolt is to short to fit to my trek integrated Madone bars. Contacts K-Edge to get help that they were not open to help. My local bike shop who are very good managed to to get a matching bolt that was 5mm longer and mount sits well. The best part is the my Edge 1050 sits slightly above my Madone bars and is totally horizontal and makes sight of the screen perfect . I am now delighted with the set up.

Does the 1050 fits with the silicone case on?
Yes no problem
Oops bumper on
That’s is not a Gen 8 Madone Aero RSL Road Integrated handlebar.
Never said it was was the Gen 8 I was referring to was for the K-Edge Madone stem. The integrated bar on my Trek Madone 9 are Madone Single BlendR, the bar you are referring to is the next generation and not greatly different.
You are wrong. This new K-Edge mount is specifically designed to work ONLY with the New Madone SLR Gen 8 Aero Integrated handlebar. That’s why you were having issues with the supplied screw as the supplied screw works only with the New TREK Aero RSL Integrated handlebar.
The photogrgrahs above show it works on my set up very secure so a very slightly longer bolt did the trick amazing what an extra 5mm can do.
