5-8 weeks?

Why "release" it and not be available for 5-8 weeks? At this point it feels like a kickstarter. Oh well, I'll place my order as usual...

Check your local bike shops. My local shop had 2 in stock....I of course purchase one!

Nice! Do you use Varia and if so how loud is the Vario alert? I get the impression that the bell and voice prompts are loud but the tones are much lower in volume. I like the ability to have a super loud…

I ordered about a week ago, when it said 5-8 weeks in the US. I saw I was charged almost immediately. Then I got a shipping notification and a UPS tracking number. It just arrived and I’m setting it up now. Scanned the code with my phone, paired it to the phone, got to the “sync settings” page and the sync process froze. Yep, this is the new Garmin.

Can the 1050 get louder than the 1040? I currently have the 1040 and the Varuia alert tone is not quite loud enough (for me anyway) to be heard over wind and traffic noise
