Garmin Edge 1040 Solar – error message “Sensor is using an open connection”

Hi,

on my Edge 1040 Solar I sometimes get the error message “Sensor is using an open connection.”

When it happens, I have to click it away over 200 times before the screen becomes usable again.

I already tried restarting, re-pairing the sensor, and updating to the latest firmware – no luck so far.

Has anyone else seen this issue or found a fix?

    I see this message sometimes - not regularly - when ANT+ sensors are going to be connected.

    This is not an error message, but a notice based primarily on EU regulations requiring that “open connections” (everybody can read) be indicated.

    However, this message does not appear repeatedly for me.

    That happens for me from time to time, maybe once in a month and if you search for it, others have posted that here too. Be lucky that 200 times were enough, some even said the message reappears never ending.
