Hard reset does not work either.

Does it turn on when charging or connecting it to a computer?

NO. With power form the PC or from the USB Charger, nothing.
You could try connecting it to the charger and pressing the power button for 45 s. If even that doesn't work: Maybe it's an empty battery with a defective charger cable. Else I would say the Edge must be replaced.
Mine after updated from version 25 onward have this problem from time to time. The only way to turn it on is to plug into direct power and press the power button or Start and Power button for about 1min and it turn on. I notice this happen if the unit was place into sleep mode if i power off the device it wont have such issue.
Thanks to all support. But the thing is still dead. It is now on the way to GARMIN services.
I had the same issue this morning, got ready to set off to meet the guys for the club ride and it would not power up. It has done it randomly before but this time did not. Plugged into charger and held the on button and eventually started. Battery at 100%, very frustrating as I was nearly late for the club ride. Had to really push it to get there in time.

I have been having the same issues did anyone get to the bottom for why this has been happening. Only had the device 18 months which I assume will now be out of warranty.
To confirm it does turn on when you plug in to a mains and then hold the on button, just seems slightly excessive for a top of the range device?

No, it was all dead. Reset, mains, computer did not help. like mentioned I sent it to Garmin, got it back one days later, scratched but working. I did redefine the profiles, the sensor definitions came back from the online cloud.
All good now.

Hi Garmin replace a new unit for me and all the issue resolve Bluetooth work well. No more intermittent wake issue. Just did my Audax 200km ride last week and also tested just put the device to sleep and wake after replaced all without any issues.
I guess sending the device for RMA is the only way.
I fell you, just like tat day when I was ready to ride out and notice the device won’t wake and toke me 10-20min to try to wake it up and ended I died solo as all the club member had left.
lucky mine still under warranty and Garmin RMA a new unit for me and the new unit work well without any Bluetooth connection issue and no more wake intermittent issue as well.
