Garmin Edge 1040 25.25 & Varia RTL515: no visual notifications

Just tested on my 1040 with 25.25 and RTL515:

All works well as expected!

If possible, we would like to collect a few screenshots or photos displaying this issue where the Varia radar's approaching vehicle "dot" indicator is present, but the background column shading is missing.

I might suggest that you pair your Varia RTL515 to the Varia App to see if radar alerts are displayed normally here but not on the Edge 1040.

Yes, you can contact me directly. Regarding the pictures of the issue, that may have to wait a few days due to some other commitments but I will do that. Two other things I forgot to mention are:

1. During night, when garmin changea the background to a dark color, the cirxlea representing the cara become way more visible since they’re been drawn in white, but even in that case the circles is the only viable sign. There’s no “red/green glow”

2. The icon on the top right corner shown the radar is connected is also not visible at all, regardless of day/night mode. Still the sender is clearly connected as I can access and even change varia config through sensors > details

While garmin works on a fix, a workaround is to set the device display for night (dark) mode. It won’t completely fix the issue but it will make the cars a bit more visible on the display. 

I'm having the same problem with the Edge 1040 an 515 varia. I spent a lot of time trying to fix this without succes. Luckily I found this post. I cannot believe Garmin makes such big mistakes with firmware updates, they don not seem to care about our safety. I live in a high traffic area and really heavily rely on the radar to be safe. NOT GOOD!

Is this fixed in latest Beta at all?

If you are experiencing this error, we expect it is become some graphics files are missing - installing a new software version is expected to restore the radar graphics.

Unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce this display error in-house and I have not been able to test this myself.
Please let me know if enrolling in the beta program and installing a new software resolves this for you.

Is your best advice to install beta software on our devices? Really???? Come on! Please come with a proper solution and search your forum/web for others with the same problem after updating their devices. Or provide a worldwide downgrade update? We need you to do a better job on this problem ;-(
