Garmin connect has changed to Chinese on my Edge 1040 does anyone know how to get it back to English

I’m not sure on urs why it don’t work. Last nite I’ve update my software to 26.14 due to 26.12 crash and reboot once complete ride outdoors. And my landing page still in English.

Hi there, my Garmin Connect is on 5.9.1 version code 9447 and my Garmin Edge Soilar is on 25.25, but it shows no update available and my connect app for Garmin Edge 1040 Solar is still displaying in Chinese. When I connect the Edge on my PC with Garmin Express it also shows no update available. How did you manage to update to 26.12? Thanks in advance. Best regards

okay, got it, joined the beta program. now I'm on 26.14, but my garmin connect app is still in chinese. :/

Finally 26.16 stable fixed the issue. Note: needed to do clear data on the app to work correctly.

Moments after it said No Sotware Updates Availabale, it offered me the update. A bit strange.

I can confirm the 26.16 and data wipe on the Connect app fixed the Chinese characters as well. Hopefully this update fixes a numerous number of bugs!

BRILLIANT. I installed 26.16 but it was still in Chinese. I saw your note about clearing the data. Once I did that I had things back in English. MANY THANKS!

26.16 released last week. It resolve the issue edge 1040 crash riding outdoor when safe ride. If the unit don’t detect update on Garmin express try update on the device, make sure WiFi is enable and connected for the update on the Edge 1040 device. Make sure you are still subscribe to beta tester.
