Garmin connect has changed to Chinese on my Edge 1040 does anyone know how to get it back to English
I don’t see a language option within the garmin connect app through settings
I logged a ticket today and got following reply;

I recommend reaching out to Product Support through their website at Garmin Support directly to report the issue.
I’ve added a second language but mine still showing in Chinese. I’ve also updated to latest iOS … wondering whether deleting app and restarting might fix next. I’ll try that later but will wait a bit as it’s a pain repairing devices.
Don’t need to waste time on the work around.
It doesn’t work. Even you manage to change the the language on ur Edge 1040 landing page but once you switch ur phone language back to English it will change back to Chinese. I’ve got an email reply from Garmin as they already aware about this glitch just they still can’t find a solution till now

I have this issue as well on a pixel 9 pro android 15
and mine is doing it now,!
Since ios 17 my phone somehow always have Turkish as the 2nd language . I fix it by adding Indonesian along English (au) but issue still the same.
I have the same problem with my Android phone. The Connect app is in English, as is my display for my Garmin Epix Gen 2. However, my 1040 is in Chinese (or Japanese?). Annoying to say the least.
Received the below reply from Garmin regarding the change to Chinese language back in 12/30/24.
