Time problem shift on fw 24.19, how can I fallback the previous fw version?

After upgrade to 24.19. It find the gps log file time was not match the video from GoPro/action 5.

May I know how can fallback the previously fw version such as 21.18?

Please note that a downgrade is equivalent to a factory reset, so you may want to update your 1040's personal settings first.

You could also enrol for the beta program; the recent betas have fixed this (and seem otherwise stable to me). You can always un-enrol once the fix is rolled out in the next full release.

Peggatsch, tks you 21.18 fw file, base I my research, it should connect the computer and copy the file to 1040 Garmin folder and restart. It is correct? But I found haven’t falllback process happen. May I know the step for the fallback?

That's exactly right. Copy the GUPDATE.GCD into the \Garmin folder and safely unpair the device, then the update process should start. I can't say why the reversion didn't happen for you.

WATCH OUT: at the moment the special Beta 24.54 is in roll out. This version will turn your device from mass storage to a MTP device like Edge 1050.

Can somebody provide a link to 24.18? I just bought the 1040 (still with 21.18) and am offered the sw update to 24.56, but as that changes from mass storage to MTP, which I'd like to avoid at the moment.

24.19 was a less stable release I understood?

When doing a factory reset, will my device go back to 21.18? In that case I don't need to download this version for back-up I guess.

Yes JMOFE when you downgrade, the device will be reset to factory settings. But you can save your personal settings before the downgrade and restore them afterwards
