Non-appearing navigational prompts

Looking through the turn list on the Edge of a course I created there seem to be some prompts that fail to pop up on the screen. For example, Keep right on the King's Drive is telling me to get in the correct lane to turn right at a T-junction. However, I have never seen this prompt or anything similar on the screen. Turn left, turn right, 3rd exit at the roundabout, etc all seem fine. Is there a setting somewhere that will get all the prompts to show?

  • If I navigate to a POI using the Garmin 1040, navigation prompts no longer happen.  If I am trying to navigate using a course .tcx imported from Ride With GPS, I do not get any navigation prompts or map pop-up at a few meters before the turn or at the turn.  Instead, I get a tiny notification on the bottom of the screen immediately after making the turn.  Prior to v24.x this behavior was automatic.

In another forum thread User 9499940 states:

"Go to your saved courses. Tap the 3 dots, top-right. Enable turn guidance."

This suggested fix has helped others on the Garmin Forums.

I will try the fix as described in this thread and see if it helps!

This change was not well documented.
