pop up not working with version 24.18

no more turn information after the upgrade and also no pop-up of the navigation map at a turn when the screen is not in map display mode

Go to your saved courses. Tap the 3 dots, top-right. Enable turn guidance.

Looks like another insanely bad release from Garmin. I don't know how they live with themselves. Thanks for being a unit tester though.

Check that “Turn Guidance” is still enabled, “Guide Text” is Always or “When Navigating” and Turn Notification is “Map”. Software updates can make random changes to settings

There is no Turn Guidance select option anymore . Als least I'm not able to find this in the menu's

If I navigate to a POI using the Garmin 1040, it does not happen. If I am trying to navigate using a course .tcx imported from Ride With GPS, I do not get any navigation prompts or map pop-up at a few meters before the turn or at the turn. Instead, I get a tiny notification on the bottom of the screen immediately after making the turn. Prior to v24.x this behavior was automatic.

I will try the fix as described in this thread and see if it helps! This change was not well documented.

For me it did help indeed (for my Edge 1040 Solar)
