How can you clear all data from a device with a broken screen?

I have a device with a broken screen. It still powers on and can be accessed by PC or the Garmin Connect mobile. And while the screen shows the a proper display, it isn't responsive to touch. Before I send it back (Garmin is replacing it) is there a way to wipe it via PC or Connect?

  • You can connect it to a PC and delete all files and folders on the unit (or reformat the the drive).  The next time the unit is booted up, it will recreate the directories but there will be no data or history in them.

  • Enlighten me - what was so private / intimate that you had on the BIKE COMPUTER that you necessarily have to delete it before sending it back for service. Really - I am very curious :)
