Larger rider position (Vehicle) symbol / cursor for 1050 but 1040 ??

In various 1050 review videos / screenshots I noticed the rider position (Vehicle) symbol / cursor IS twice the size of current one on 1040. I, and others, have loudly complained about the smaller size for years, the average age of riders in my club continues to climb and our eyesight is not getting any better, a bigger symbol would be the biggest enhancement for me in years. Is there a hope this new sized symbol will come to the 1040, can't see any technical reason why not!

An increased size on the 1040 (& others) coupled with a MapTheme change to the Vehicle color would be brilliant. It is not in the current 23.09 beta.

Over time, you'll see how many minor improvements there are that garmin could make to its devices and doesn't, despite years of requests and questions about it.

Can't turn off the VP but can "hide" it (make invisible on Map screen) by changing its component colors in the MapTheme to transparent and no the 1050 VP is the current size but slightly smaller than the…

Nice! Next question, can you turn off the virtual partner? Hope they didn't make its position symbol twice as big too.

FWIW: I am old but my vision is such that I can see the Edge perfectly clearly, as clearly as anyone. The current position symbol is still too small, irrespective of age.

If it's any consolation, I'm young, I have good eyesight and It is hard for me to see the vehicle. I don't think it would take more than two minutes of coding to make it bigger, but I don't know what obscure reasons garmin has for not doing it when it is a popular demand.

I made requests to enlarge the buttons on the Varia page, half of the bottom page being empty, Garmin could have given cyclists more security for changing varia modes while riding with nice big buttons, and well nothing at the moment, Garmin prefers to add functions such as ride group, or add bugs to updates, instead of making the connection of sensors, Varia, navigation with poi and training with the 1040 100% reliable. .. to the wise
