Recovery heart rate

For a few weeks now I have been seeing the Recovery Heart Rate data in the activity statistics, but it always appears with a zero value.

I record my cycling activities with an edge 1040. Does anything have to be done for this data to appear?

 Greetings

  • thanks for this post and yes i agree, from all research i've done, recovery heart rate is just not possible on the edge devices. this is absurd. so basically garmin is suggesting i should be using my tactix 7 for my bike rides and should never have bought my edge as the watch has every capability of the edge and even more features. ridiculous

The field should not appear in the Connect activity statistics when registered with an edge 1040 or any other device that does not support recovery heart rate as the value will always be null

  • Yeah, kinda ridiculous, a simple calculation of recovery heart rate not available on the 1040.  Or, if it is, I haven't seen it.  Doesn't seem all that complicated to add that option when a ride is completed, just like on the forerunner watches.
