19.21 Beta released:
Hello MOSHESOBE
since the firmware update to 19.19, a communication error is displayed when working with BaseCamp with a 1040 connected. Reading the files from the 1040 takes forever. The good news is that you can still continue working. However, you have to take into account that a tour created with BaseCamp with the name Tour.gpx is written to the device directory \Garmin\GPX. If you move this file to the \Garmin\NewFiles directory (do not rename it), it will be recognized by the 1040, converted into a -FIT file and will be available under Navigation - Routes after the restart.
1. Connect the 1040 to the computer via USB
2. Copy the GPX file to the \Garmin\NewFiles folder
3. Disconnect the USB connection (safely)
4. 1040 starts
5. The tour can be found under Navigation > Routes
If you have any further questions, please post

MOSHESOBE that is completely correct and you have the advantage that the route is also saved on GarminConnect, which is not the case with the procedure I described
