Feature Request: double discard confirmation

Save the ride before “fumbling” with the unit, works for me .

Yes true, on bike packing races, day adventures, coffee stops etc. you may need to leave your bike outside of a shop etc. that garmin is gone quickly…

How do we upvote this request.  I have lost a few rides in error.

Alternatively wish there was a temp folder we could recover from.

As far as I know there is already a double confirmation for discarding the activity.

When you pause or stop the activity you have two buttons "Discard" and "Save" in the bottom of the screen. For discarding the activity you need to click in the "Discard" button, then confirm it by clicking in another button in the middle of the screen.

I don't see the reason for adding yet another confirmation.

Hi Vini, curious what version you have, as "latest" 18.25 for my 1040 Solar definitely has the discard and the confirm touch button in the same place in the bottom left. This was a change somewhere along the line, so wish I could go back to version before this change.

I am on v18.25. I might be wrong regarding the position tough.
I am at the office right now, but can perform a test when getting home. I am sure I have to click twice for discarding an activity.

Vini is right , you have to confirm the discard. 

You have to confirm the discard, but unintentionally lost activities are a common problem among Edge 1040 users and Garmin is so far deaf to perfectly reasonable requests to:

- Keep discarded rides in some trash folder for a week or so.

- Move the confirmation button from the same place (where the discard button was) to another location.

- Make it more difficult to unintentionally confirm (incl. rain and such) by having to hold the virtual button or having to press a physical button.
