Updated to version 17.26 and get an estimated battery life of 8 hours 95% battery
Thank you all for your participation in this thread. This is resolved in software version 18.23.
Thank you everyone, I have made a report of this.
I do believe it is not only a calculation issue. The battery seems to drain faster!!! Just lost 10% on a 1h45min ride... more than double of previous software versión! GARMIN FIX THIS ASAP!!!
Same here. Big issue
How many hours left do you see with the device at 100%? I used to see around 48 with brightness at 10% and GPS+ now dropped to 18…
I would also like to downgrade my garmin but I don't know the procedure.
Je ne pense pas que cela sois possible
Only seeing about 14. But clearly I’m using it at around the same rate I used to get when it said 36. I never really looked at it once I saw the 36 a few times and what making changes did. Now really I only ever look at the % it says is left.
I’ve done 7 hours riding since charging to 100%. It now says 84%. That makes it about 43 hours at that rate. It now says 13hours on the battery screen. 100% was 14. So 1 hour actually gave me 7.
But why downgrade? In reality it gets the same performance as before. Only that one number changes and is clearly wrong. Just look at the actual % left
I've found that this update only caused an estimation issue. I've compared some of my pre and post 17.26 update battery usage and both pre and post 17.26 update used roughly the same ~2% battery per hour. Running 3 sensors (heart rate, Di2, power), screen brightness set to about 10%, and best GPS accuracy. Both pre and post update pointed me to about 40-50 hours battery life.
I could have been more clear, my estimated battery life does show incorrect, but after calculating the battery life estimate myself with actual ride data like time on/battery percentage used, my "actual" life was the original 40-50 hours, not the number the Garmin shows.
Oui, moi je suis resté plus de 4h de sortie à 15h restantes … d’après ce que j’ai pu voir il faut multiplier par 4 l’estimation donnée, qui est erronée. Tu peux me confirmer ??
