New Edge 1040 Series Public Beta 14.14 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1040 Series has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

    I guess I can only ask for it back.  Going on a group ride and I wanted to share the route.

    Today I rode a 86km ride with with almost no issues. Climb Pro was spot on and 45 minutes alert was on time. The only issue happened at 3 hours and 3 minutes when all devices disconnected for about 15 seconds and then reconnected again. Other than that, today, it remembered my days of my Edge 830.

    The only thing that changed in my set up was that I  now using de new RCT715 instead of the old one. Not sure if that is related or not with all the issues I was having or it was pure luck today.

    Strava, but that was always my source anyway.

    Strange, I did 62 km today with 1500 m elevation gain and also climb pro was almost perfect, but I dont recall if The route was transfered from strava , or created from a previous ride...

    Did a ride yesterday and during the ride it asked if I want to "Stop current course" with an X and a checkmark for yes.  I checked the X and it cleared the message for a couple of seconds and then reappeared.  I did this about 20 times with no success.  So, I rode for about 10 mins with the message, stopped again and clicked the X.  After about 5 clicks it magically fixed itself.  Submitted to Garmin.

    My feeling is that 1040 has a lot of dismiss or X buttons that must be pressed at least twice to be accepted

    Had the same issue yesterday with the “stop current course” not going away whichever button was pressed. I’d gone off the navigated course and couldn’t get rid of the dialog. It eventually went away when I got back on the return part of the course. I reported in the beta forum with video.

    Anybody else loosing pages on an activity profile?
    Page 3 is still there but blank.  When I try to set it up, I can.  All fields are there as previously set up but when you start the activity, page through, then the page 3 is just blank.
    Checked. and there are no IQ fields on the page.  So cant be that.
    Any ideas?

    is it a copy of another garmin? Plz try to delete it and set it up completely new. And then lets see ;-)
