New Edge 1040 Series Public Beta 14.12 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1040 Series has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

    Con Ebike Ep8000 se acceso non funziona combinazione rapporti Sram xx1 wireless, a motore spento funziona benissimo speriamo rimediano.

    What notifications are you expecting?  On other devices the notification is usually only for the first ever achievement of a higher VO2max, while FTP alerts always come up whether to increase or decrease it.

    I have a 1040 APAC device and I downloaded this beta software with no issues. The only device of mine that seems to exclude beta software is my Fenix 6 pro which specifically excludes the region for some odd reason.

    maybe my ftp is stabile , maybe I did not try 20 min of hard effort, but with 1030 I recall that I had Vo2 max achievement not just once

    For example I was in holiday one week then I fell of from my bike, my VO2 max has going down to 50 , then go up step by step to 54 , I was asected to have a prompt for FTP going down (at the begining) but also when I had the increase of new vo2 max

    How did you manage that? I've put the beta update file in \GARMIN folder and power cycled the 1040 APAC v12.15, but nothing happened.

    I'm also curious how you achieved that.  After Garmin sold me an 'Edge 1040 Solar' they told me it's actually an Edge 1040 Solar SEA.  I've asked them to either fix the software, exchange it for what they listed to be selling, or provide a refund so I can buy one where I don't have to experience what they explained here:

    "Regarding the software update for each device, usually the U.S Software update will be released earlier than SEA. SEA Software update is usually released around 4-6 weeks after the U.S update. Within these 4-6 weeks, our engineers need to make some adjustments in the software, so that it can be compatible with SEA software version.

    This is why Garmin Express now shows your device "You are up to date" with version 12.15 as this is the latest version for Edge 1040 SEA."
    Can the garmindevice.xml be adjusted so the device is no longer deliberately stunted in its growth and development?

    New problem, on my Yesterday's ride, some of my sensors did not auto connect to my Edge 1040 Solar:

    - Power meter (Sram Quarq AXS)

    - SRAM AXS system

    I had to go in my ride's parameters, sensors and press connect on both. They connected right away. I don't think I should have to do this, all sensors should auto-connect.

    My other sensors (HRM-Pro, Garmin speed sensor, Garmin Varia and another light) all auto-connected.

    My Varia did not auto connect yesterday, I assumed it was a one off thing but maybe it’s a bug in this firmware? It’s never not auto connected in 3 years of use

    Welcome to Beta Firmware. It will get resolved before the final release.
