  • So we are not supposed to import directly? I will try to create a Strava Route and import to Garmin to see if that makes the trick.

  • It is not so much about how the course is created, but rather to do with the quality of the elevation data contained in the course file and the course point density. Some sites have better elevation data than others.

Garmin recommends that course creators add a data point approximately even 50 meters to give the best experience using ClimbPro.

  • 1) After 3:30h in a ride, it dropped all ANT+ sensors and never got back. I finished my ride completely blind: no power, no HR, no candence, no Radar.

Zero dropout until now , 5 hours ride on Saturday , and other before , strange enough

    2) Strava Segments not wokring on this Beta - only show message to Login and never change. Reverting back to 12.16 made it work again

Working just fine , tested in this morning , maybe you need to re-pair your Strava account with Garmin

Only think that I realize, but of course make sense , Strava segments does not work while you are in the Workout mode

Also I don't know how to display map in the segment screen.

    3) Climb is like 20 seconds late (ok, same thing for 12.16). My 830 was perfect on CLimbing. This new 1040 is reallyu a shame..

    Check my feedback and

The worst part is that reverting to an older version deleted all user data. When we will have an stable version with at least No Dropouts, CIQ, and Climbing working???

NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

  • What Feedback?

I did my first ride with 1040 today (previously had 530). The climbs and power guide has around 150m or so delay in display. Makes it otherwise great experience it so good anymore. The GPS is responsive and accurate, expected from a multi band. Hope the future updates will address the lag issue.

I wrote also some additional  notes , but I will delete it for now.

  • I noticed that with some data fields like Performance Dashboard, Powermaro etc, the temperature is not displayed. Then the WIdget Segment Explore does not work, it is reported to connect to Strava via GC which you have already done also because the Sgment live works. Again with  Strava segments, after having started, traveled and completed a segment, the LIVE result just performed is not displaied at the end.

  • But it works fine with 530 so that should not be an issue on 1040.

  • Same route?
where and how did you create it?

  • When will the 1040 be added to the official beta testing program?
