New Edge 1040 Series Public Beta 14.12 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1040 Series has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

    Did a ride this morning, and seemed fine EXCEPT I was getting RTL510 radar disconnects/reconnects maybe 6-7 times per hour. Much more than normal. I'll delete the light network and see if it stays that way on a ride later today.

    Where do i find the "Music Control widget" on the Edge 1040 Solar with this beta (German Language settings)?

    It is a widget that you need to add to the widget control loop that accessed via swiping down from the top of the screen.

    To add it via the Edge got to System -> Widgets -> Plus Icon -> Music Controls

    Answer myself: I have to enable it in the APP.

    Thanks for the beta. Installed fine last night and figured out how to take off the suggested workout. 

    Hopefully this fixes my 1040 solar where when starting it will say unit it overheated even though it was 60 degrees. Restart fixed it but annoying. 

    Also regarding tempe why dont you use “windfield” data app as it is much more accurate for everyday use even though there is a $7 or $12 yearly cost depending on what you want  

    Have to say the screen size has spoiled me and used my 530 yesterday mountain biking and seemed crazy small.

    Thanks for adding those things! Lets see if it even resolves my issue with workout screen staying blank at daily suggested workouts.

    I am satisfied. I had no radar disconnects.

    Auto pause working, no lag. Intensity minutes working. No freeze during ride. Daily suggested workout dont work, but this dont disturb me.

    Is daily suggested workout synced with the Epix? My edge suggests a base workout wich is empty. Also, in the activity the workout screen is a blank screen as on 12.16 if I use the suggested one.
    I can imagine its because my Epix knows about a Primary Race day wich is a run and does not want my to do any training rides until then. :-D
