Yes, there is another thread on this somewhere. Only the past x activities or y months are brought over. Not sure which or the number. In the other thread I think it explains how to bring over the totals files. Sorry I’m not too sure as I wasn’t to bothered by it. I have the totals in Garmin connect and they stay working as long as I have the right gear selected in the activity.
I think all Garmins have worked this way which is why I just started using Garmin connect instead of the device. I guess that way it’s better as after a while I clear out old activities off the device to save space. (I was running out on the 1000, so got used to doing this).
I found the other question
forums.garmin.com/.../migrating-1030-to-1040-totals-are-faulty-or-missing
I’d also agree with the first comment on this thread. When I had a lot of activities in the 1030 it did start having issues and going slow, so I deleted a number. Was never sure if this was the number of activities or the space it took up.
To see the complete total is a number value to see the number of gravel road indoor are 3 number values if you limited the activity history always by year it is ok. But 4 values you add need not so much memory, the code to to this needs more memory but for me as a user is Importen the totals look at Strava the know the do it
