What modifications would you like to be included in future firmware versions?

I would like to ask you what modifications of the current firmware would you like to be in the new versions? Please write a few words about how these modifications should look and function. The first modification I have in mind is the color steress score bar chart. When assessing stress after exercise, a number is shown and a marked arrow appears in a pie chart in a specific zone and color. However, all these measurement results on the bar chart are white and do not reflect the color of the zone in which the measurement result was.

  • using Di2 buttons to  zoom in and zoom out on the maps screen.

change the color of navigation from magento to black and adjusting the arrow as well to a wished color and size

on the map screen: the red cross to stop navigation instantly

  • I'd love the bearing graphical display from the "home" ("Glimpses"?) screen to be available as a full width graphical field within the configurable in-ride screen (configured as data screens under ride profiles). I find the existing small (half width) bearing N/NE/E/SE/S/etc. far too vague and find the "graduated ruler" far superior. The display works well on the home screen so code already written, sensors fine to provid ethe info so put it in the ride profile screens.

  • You can do this now using a secondary Garmin app.   Not sure about Android, but on iOS, install the app "Garmin Varia" (a Garmin product).   Pair the app to your Varia and voila - you will have the traffic sound in your headset.  Thanks to Shane Miller/GP Lama for this tip:

On the iPhone, I created a shortcut called Road Biking that launches the Garmin Connect app, Garmin Varia app, my music app, and sets a custom focus to FITNESS (Which blocks all notifications except my wife's texts and my weather apps, so that the 1040 only receives weather notifications).

When I road cycle, I launch this shortcut on my iOS phone, and I am good to go.

  • Another one from me.

When you bought the Edge 1040 (non) solar, please give us training readiness with any garmin watch. Or maybe watches from a certain age point because of hardware limitations.

I have the forerunner 255 music and together with my edge 1040 solar i've invested enough in Garmin to make this case. Certainly compared to a "only" forerunner 955 purchase for example.

  • LiveTrack > 24h?

not sure if this is a limitation of the backend or the device.

  • Di2 map zoom - I would pay for this!

  • The same for remote control.

  • Cover the screen with your palm to return to the home page

  • Notification for custom cue cards  and POI's  attached to GPX (typicly when created using RWGPS)

  • Notification for custom cue cards  and POI's  attached to GPX (typicly when created using RWGPS)

    Not gonna happen.

The "custom cue cards" are included when you export as FIT or TCX (as "course points"). These have to match track points.

The RWGPS POIs are just random points (they are not associated with the track). I don't think RWGPS includes these in any file.

The GPX file standard can have tracks, routes, and waypoints. Waypoints in GPX get put in Locations. GPX files don't have "course points".
