Edge 1040 solar not syncing with garmin connect app on iPhone running iOS16

Hi guys. I’m assuming this is another fairly well known issue among the handful of cycling nerds that upgraded to the new iPhone iOS 16 software (just like how weather isn’t syncing onto wearables) and also have an edge 1040, but I can’t get any activities to sync to the garmin connect app on the phone. I get the red exclamation point when trying to sync manually. So I’ve just been connecting directly to my MacBook and syncing the activities through the desktop version and just viewing the activities in the connect app on my phone afterwards. Anyone else having this issue?

    Now it's working as it should. I did not update the device (unless it automatically updated in the background). I did however travel home in the mean time - meaning the device had proper wi-fi access (not phone hot spot). Still no idea what happened.

    Forget my last post. It still does not sync. Firmware 17.26 and just finished another ride. The activity comes up in Garmin Connect (but without gpx map) and does not sync to Strava even with the device in wifi. I've synkronized over wifi, but still nothing on Strava.

    I will contact support and hopefully they have a fix. But seriously i am quite annoyed now.
