RTL500 Radar and Light

You should be able to pair the RTL500.

Let see if I have one around and I can try it after my ride today.

If you are not on the beta, make sure you do not use ANY ConnectIQ data field. It will block pairing your ANT sensors.

Also make sure you put the radar into pairing mode. That's important. 

Good point about the CIQ apps unless you have taken and installed the 12.14 beta

I would need to check, but I don't think the RTL500 has a specific pairing mode. I think that the pairing mode is always enabled on this 1st gen radar unit.

yes, you're right. Only applies to the newer gen. 

I believe you have to turn it on and then hold the power button on until the blue light comes on on the side.  Mine paired no problem once I put it in pairing mode. I have the rtl500

I have had the problem with CIQ apps and haven't installed any.  All my other sensors now work fine, so I am sure it is not that bug.

The radar and light pair fine with my old 1030.  I've tried holding the power button but that makes no difference, as aweatherall says I am pretty sure there is no pairing mode, it is just detected with the 1030.

Do have any other lights paired?

No, I only have this one.  I think it was the first radar light Garmin released (the rectangular one).

I'm familiar with the model, I was just wondering if the light network already some other light in it.
