Zoom out near course point after self calculated route to a saved location

If you get a chance would you be able to shoot a short video of this and share it?

Are you going off the route it first calculated so that it is having to do a recalculation? 

I will try to replicate and video this behavior. Here is what I did prior to the issue. 

1. I loaded a workout and course at the same time

2. After completing the workout I stopped the course 

3. I navigated to a selected point on the map (quite straight road did not notice the issue here but could be due to almost no instructions.

4. Then decided to head home and stopped the course and loaded home which was a saved location

5. While on the map screen the zoom level went to almost the whole country right before each navigation instruction, took 2-4 seconds and then it went back to normal zoom level. Almost like it was recalculating each instruction point.

Today the same with disabled auto-zoom.

I'm having the same behavior as described by lvanjaarsveld. My guess is the device does an automatic recalculation at every? navigation point / turn. On my device it shows the map of my home town, regardless where I'm riding. The blue arrow keeps moving and the GPS data in the FIT file is also normal, no GPS issue. After 1-3 seconds the map jumps back to the normal zoom on the right location. I got a response from Garmin support to delete map files from my device locally, but I'm hesitating to do that and hope a future software update fixes this bug.
