Ride Sync over Bluetooth doesn’t work (eBike Data)

Hi,

I’ve got a problem with my new Edge 1040. 

When I end and save a ride it doesn’t sync to Garmin Connect if I’m connected to the iPhone with Bluetooth. It works only with Wi-Fi and even in that case I have to force the synchronization. 

The Edge connects fine with the iPhone and syncs everything except the rides!!!

I tried to reset the device but nothing has changed. 

Does anyone have a solution or some suggestions to try?

It’s so frustrating…. and every time the same with new devices…

    I have the same issue on a new 1040 (non solar).  connected via iOS, and running the developer beta on the iPhone.  All other Bluetooth connections seem to work with the exception of ride synchronization and the weather widget on the Home Screen.  I received call and txt alerts in ride, windfield works, etc.  I have to upload rides via Wifi.  any help appreciate and happy to help Garmin troubleshoot.

    @fwmone do you happen to have 12.16 on your device yet? I know this is still rolling out, but I am hoping to gather some info off a device running the latest firmware.

    Blake,  I now have 12.16 and still have the same issue.  Happy to help you troubleshoot.  let me know how we would make that happen.

    I'm on  version 12.16 now and auto sync doesn't still work. It syncs via bluetooth immediately when I turno Edge off and then on again. Then few seconds later it has synced.

     If you reply with permission, I will email you directly to gather some information to escalate this report. We may have a quick solution which we will provide here in this thread, or we may need to escalate this report for investigation. I suspect the latter will be necessary given that this is not occurring for all 1040 users.

    I thought mine was actually doing a bt sync ok until I was looking at something else and realised that my phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot was on !!
    standard edge 1040 v12.16, iOS 15.5, app 4.56.0.44

    going to test the bt only on the next ride …

    My Edge 1040 was uploading the rides over Bluetooth consistently but since installing 12.16 it won't upload automatically when ending a ride.  I have an iPhone with the latest Garmin Connect.

    I'm happy to assist with any testing that Garmin require to find a solution to this issue.

    Same her, Edge 1040 12.16 and iPhone with newest Connect app. Stopped working under 12.5 and 12.6 did not change that.

    So mine won't sync this morning at work, so will have to do it over WIFI at home, how do you force WIFI sync?
