Can't update Edge 1040 to 12.11

It sounds like the update is failing in some way.

Is there any error log file in teh Garmin\Debug folder?

We could try going to 12.10 first by manually placing the update file for 12.10 in the Garmin folder

I tried your version. yes, it says '12.10', but I have the same scenario - "Preparing update" for couple seconds, then restart and nothing is updated.

So the first thing the update does before it applies the new software is to backup your existing data.

I'm thinking something might be wrong with one of the files in the directories it is backing up.

If you could zip up some of the folders under the Garmin directory and provide them that would be great.

Did you import the profiles you were using or did you name them on the unit?

Something odd on the form let me repost for others.

unit named it by itself (from templates), I mean it's names of profiles in Russian. "ДОРОЖНЫЙ" = "Road", "ГРАВИЙ" = "Gravel"

Menu -> Activity Profiles ->Create New -> Create from Template -> (screenshots)
