Did any YouTube reviewer mention this?
'YouTube reviewer' checking in. It's impossible to cover ConnectIQ status on things prior to release day as a lot (or most) apps/data fields/etc need…
It has been less then a week after release. I'm pretty sure they will update the app.
The 1030 plus was easy to support as it was not much different from the 1030. The 1040 changed lots internally…
So ein Dummfug.
Garmin didn’t disable any apps (except one wich was made for diving with the Fenix 5).
ConnectIQ requires the developer to „ENABLE“ the app for any new device. It’s all up to SuperSapiens…
Isn't this why Apple ships four or more release candidates before updating iOS? I don't understand why reviewers give Garmin a pass on this. It seems totally absurd that Garmin is now charging Apple-level prices, and upgrading from one device to another continues to be an absolute nightmare.
Your memory of transitioning from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 is wrong. It was a complete disaster. Endless crashes for almost a year.
About for example Supersapiens Sensor support, when fenix 7 was released it wasn't supported but now it is but right now epix2 isn't supported( they have forgotten it) more than 3 months after release date. Is it Garmin fault or Supersapiens'?
When you bought it Garmin specified the built in features. It's up to the developers make et their apps compatible with the new device. It's not Garmin's fault in this case(other thing are the bugs regarding the built in features.)
