Waypoints are not appearing on Up Ahead screen of my 1040 Solar

Could you post the course fir file here?

How did you load the course file on to the 1040?

The course was created from scratch on Garmin Connect app and transferred via the 'send to device' option.

I’m seeing course points on my unit. I will check the course file later today. 

It is unlikely, but check that course points for that course are not switched off.

Navigation-> courses -> course 

then the 3 dot menu in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Yes, course points are on. Strangely enough I did briefly get the course points listed ( but all with 0 miles) but they then promptly disappeared. Have tried various permutations of switching things on and off / reloading course etc but cannot get them back again. 
Am currently running version 12.11. 

The problem appears to be with the way GC has created the file in that all the course points in it are set at zero distance into the course

This sounds like a GCM course authoring issue.

Try authoring a course in Garmin Connect on the web and see if you get the same issue.

I will try creating a course in the app. Are using an iOS or Android phone?

I got the course point to show when just loading the course, but not starting it, but it shows at zero distance into the course, which is wrong. I will raise a ticket with Garmin
