Di2 chain ring shifts not alerting

Are shift alerts showing up for anyone on the 1040? I have my Di2 sensor set up, and it’s on S2, but I’m getting no alerts. This happened automatically with my 1030 plus.

Correct, and I do. On my 520+, I would also get a tone alert for the synchro-shift when I shifted to the gear before the shift. Both up and down. I also got a text alert at the top of the screen for all…

There’s a tone and a text box at the top of the screen that the next shift will change the chain ring.

It’s useful if it’s there. Keeps me from spinning out shifting to the smaller ring as I know to slow my cadence.

My 1040 Solar just updated to 12.16 firmware. I checked for the Di2 synchro-shift alerts and it is giving an audible alert as well as a text alert on screen when I shift to the gear before the synchro-shift as expected.

Apparently, they did not put out a similar update for the 1040. Mine is current and still not alerting chain ring shifts.

When you say current, which build? Different regions are on different builds.

I have 12.16 firmware and can confirm the chainring shifts are notified. However, I hear 4 (roughly) tones each time and also get the notification message that many times -- usually the tone/notification are in quick succession. The high/low tones only sound once, as expected.

Has anyone else seen this?

After a few weeks, the extra notifications went away, after a restart.
