Can anyone report if Garmin have fixed the issue that the 1030+ has with ridiculously long responses to changes in gradient?

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the undesirable lag in road grade. We want to share that we have a plan for an improved solution with consideration of both accuracy and responsiveness. Our engineers…
@Garmin-Mathew.
If you really believe that 10-15 seconds delay is considered “normal” - as the official statement from Garmin is trying to force-feed customers, then what does that say about my Edge 1000…
I currently have a wahoo element (full size) a karoo2 and now a 1040 solar. as of the 12.14 release the 1040 solar still has a ridiculous lag as compared to the other two. I really don't care too much…
Nice, does the other device displays gradient?
My post saying 15s lag for anything during a ride was removed for being abusive.
Alot of posts are getting removed, including mines, not just yours. Just don't worry. Perhaps useless posts are wiped to keep the topic clean, which would make sense, in the sense that it adds nothing useful to the topic. I hope they're listening at least.
But the Edge 1040 doesn't just have "lag" related issues, it has higher priority issues to fix ASAP, like device stability, crashes occuring, sensor connection dropping, so I wouldn't expect them to fix this so soon
Actually, the lag s more 25s than 15s :-(
It has been the same problem, sorry, feature for appr 6 years, you mean that there have been other issues with higher priority in all of that period?
Have you tried to use the 1040 upside down?
Now that's weird, lots of reports are indicating that gradient lag was OK on previous devices and it was introduced by the 1040 (or the 1030+)
there where lag on previous edge models but about ~10s.
On 1040, whe are talking about 25-30s !
Ok, I thought it was the same lag since 820 and others. The only thing I know is that there is no lag on my old 800 (or some second, as it has to be).
If using Garmin's words, the expectations have been more lag for every new model?
